Harlow Agricultural Merchants Ltd  (HAM) was founded in 1980, a breakaway from one of the multi-nationals. Now, 27 years on, as agriculture faces many new challenges and with very few independent agricultural merchants left, HAM's motto is more important than ever - "Small enough to care, Big enough to serve".

Over the past 27 years, HAM has strived to deliver the expertise and knowledge to enable its customers to make an informed choice of the species/varieties that they grow so that a balance can be achieved in order to counter agricultural policy changes.

To many customers we are a supplier of cereals, oilseed or pulse seed, a service that many other companies offer but a look beneath the surface shows a much wider spectrum of expertise, products and services. For example, did you know that HAM owns a narrow boat holiday company called Black Prince or that it runs a Horse and Country Store (HACS)?
